Jim Langer
Co-owner & CEO
James (Jim) Langer is a former United States Marine who served as a Presidential security guard under the Reagan administration. Afterward, Langer entered law enforcement, serving as a division commander and SWAT team commander. He served over two years in Afghanistan as a civilian police advisor, taught as a lead instructor for the Afghanistan counter terrorism police basic SWAT school and trained United States embassy guard forces for Iraq and Afghanistan. In addition, Langer has served in the Cayuga County, NY, Sheriff’s office and the Finger Lakes, NY, police department.
Langer has also been involved as a founder and CEO of Badlands Security Group, providing professional security services for the energy industry and critical infrastructure projects such as oil and gas, railway, and construction sites, in addition to educational institutions.
Langer holds a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice/police Science from Bethel University.
Dale Waters
Co-owner & President
A veteran of 34 years in law enforcement, Dale served over 27 years as a Texas Game Warden, retiring as a Game Warden VI and Master Peace Officer. He played a key role in disaster response efforts, including Hurricane Katrina and major Gulf Coast deployments, staffing thousands of man-hours to keep critical infrastructure secure.
Dale later served as Operations Manager for Off Duty Services Inc., coordinating nationwide law enforcement staffing for clients in energy, retail, banking, and logistics—including the Keystone XL Pipeline.
He began his career with the Hunt County Sheriff’s Office and studied at Paris Junior College and East Texas State University. In addition to his management responsibilities at NYTX, Dale also serves as Director of Law Enforcement Security Operations for Badlands Security Group LLC.
